Illustration
The aim of an illustration is to complement
decorate or add a visual support to a story, poem or any other
piece of textual information, traditionally by providing a
representation of something described in the text. Illustrations
can serve a variety of functions like giving faces to characters
in a story or expand on the linguistic aspects of the narrative.
